Obituary for Carmine Marciano

Carmine  Marciano
Carmine Marciano died peacefully at Beverly Hospital in Massachusetts on February 8, 2017 at the age of 79 after a long illness. Carmine is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Helen Marie Rose (Richards) Marciano, his daughter Leanne (Marciano) and her husband Charles Lyons of Methuen, MA, son Euplio Ricardo (Ricky) Marciano and his wife Teresa of Beverly, MA, son Carmine Putnam Marciano and his wife Linda of Buxton, Maine, and daughter, Susan of Beverly, MA. Carmine also leaves nine grandchildren and one great grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews, many cousins, numerous relatives and many friends that will miss him.
Carmine also leaves his brother, Euplio (Rocky) and wife Diane (Wojick) Marciano of Beverly, sister, Isabel (Isy) (Marciano) and husband Edward Winslow of Beverly. He is predeceased by parents, Euplio and Dr. Rose (DiDonato) Marciano of Beverly and his sister, Terry (Marciano) Seger of Danvers.
Carmine was born on January 6, 1938 in Beverly to Euplio and Rose in Beverly, MA. He graduated from Beverly Trade School in 1955. After graduating, Carmine joined the Navy and served on the U.S.S. Davis DD-937. Returning from the navy, Carmine graduated from Northeastern University receiving an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Carmine met Helen Richards at the Topsfield fair and they fell in love and were married in 1959. After moving to Leominster, MA, Carmine began working for Paragon Plastics as a Plant Manager. Years later he owned Carmine Plastics in Leominster, MA. Carmine moved back to Beverly where he owned Carmine Records and started an EBay business selling his extensive record collection.
Over the years Carmine shared his love of records with family and friends and hosted many holiday gatherings in his home with plenty of amazing food! He loved to cook and cherished his family time. Carmine enjoyed planning and traveling to numerous Navy reunions with his shipmates from the USS Davis DD-937.
He was an active and dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus in Leominster, MA in his younger days. Carmine was also known for an Italian tradition of “Mushrooming” and had trained all of his children to identify and harvest local mushrooms where he would later cook and prepare them in many combinations to enjoy. He coached little league in Beverly, MA and was a Boy Scout leader in Leominster, MA. Carmine will be deeply missed and remembered by all who loved him.
The family would like to thank the Staff at Beverly Hospital for all their efforts and support during this time and assisting in giving him the best quality of life before he passed away.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 10 AM. Burial at Central Cemetery, Beverly followed by a reception at Vittori Rocci Post #56, 143 Brimbal Ave., Beverly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Beverly Dollars for Scholars in the name of Dr. Rose G.
