Where do I start?
Not that I can fit a lifetime of memories in a space this size……
In life if you are lucky you have a best friend, I am a fortunate person to have 3. My first from kindergarten was Norman. We were together through thick and thin. 12 years of school. Worked together over the years as I would always look out for a job so we could be together. We would laugh and laugh. Between the 2 of us we had a million stories. We played in a band together. We went clubbing together. I helped him learn to play golf. We lived at one another's houses. In a time when it was go outside and play we did. No video games just quality fun. I visited him at college and of course another story, lol. We went to a club in NY called Speaks and saw Twisted Sister before anyone knew who they were. More to that story, lol
We lost touch as I moved around for my golf career. And then in the last years we got together a few times once in person, other times on the phone. He would call me to ask what the name of...was I would come up with answer and he would laugh. We spoke about the old days and shared our memories right up to a few days before he passed. He texted to say "this weather sucks" Me in Florida replied I am heading out to give a golf lesson, lol.
One thing that not many know about him was he was one a very few people that could listen to a 45 record (yes a record) he could listen to it ONE TIME, go back and play the song on guitar note for note by ear!! Amazing!!
I will miss our phone calls and chats....
Forever my friend.......Donnie (yahoo)
