Obituary for
Mark Vincent Johnson
Beverly- Mark Vincent Johnson, age 26 years, of Beverly, MA, passed away August 15, 2017 in a mountain biking accident in Vail, Colorado. Born in Boston, he was the beloved son of Philip and Suzanne (Burke) Johnson.
Mark was enrolled in the University of Alaska Engineering School. He was a member of the United States Army, serving at Fort Richardson in Anchorage, AK in the 3509 Parachute Infantry Regiment. He volunteered at the Beverly Bootstraps food pantry. He loved the outdoors, snowboarding, mountain biking and backpacking.
Surviving him are his parents, two brothers, Luke Johnson of Wilmington, MA and Andrew Johnson and his wife Samuelle Soucy of Gatineau, Canada. He also was a beloved member of a large extended family and will be sorely missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including those with whom he served in the U. S. Army.
Marks Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, MA, on August 23, 2017, at 10:30. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 5 to7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will be private.
