Obituary for Michael A. Talbot

Michael A.  Talbot
South Hamilton - Michael A. Talbot 64, beloved husband of Nancy A. (York) Talbot, died Friday, August 18, 2017 at Salem Hospital following a long courageous battle with diabetes and kidney disease.
Born and raised in Beverly, he was the son of the late Arthur A. and May I. (Pitts) Talbot. He received his education in the Beverly school system and graduated from the Vocational School.
Mr. Talbot owned and operated M.A. Talbot Heating and Energy Systems in Ipswich for over thirty five years until the time of his retirement in 2014.
A longtime resident of South Hamilton, Michael was a loving and devoted family man who always put his family first. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, with whom he shared forty six years of marriage, he is survived by a daughter, Amy Harnois and her fiance, Richard Calhoun of Hamilton, two sons, Michael J. Talbot and his wife, Heidi of Somersworth, NH and Peter Talbot of Hamilton, four grandchildren, Steven Talbot, Drake Talbot, Justin Talbot and Brianna Harnois, a sister, Debra Petropoulos and companion, Michael Costello of Nahant, two brothers, Steven Talbot and his wife, Adriane of Peabody and James S. Talbot and his wife, Kimberly of Beverly, his mother-in-law, Norma York of Beverly and several nieces, nephews and extended family. He was also the son-in-law of the late Myron York.
His funeral service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in the Hamilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
