Beverly - Ada Barboza 85, died Monday, October 2, 2017 at the Essex Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.Born and raised in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Reverend Manuel and Augusta (Gomes) Barboza. She received her education in the New Bedford school system, and graduated from New Bedford High School. Ada was employed as an admissions clerk at Saint Luke's Hospital until retiring to Florida, where she spent many happy years.
Ada is survived by her brother, Daniel Barboza and his wife, Phyllis Currier, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Augusta Barboza, Antonio Barboza, Zacharias Barboza, Esther Kaminski and Joel Barboza.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Church, 1956 Main Road, Tiverton, RI on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, MA. Online condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com.
